Who we're recruiting

Literal Labs is looking for engineers who are passionate about advancements in sustainable AI to help accelerate us through the next part of our journey.

Embedded Engineers with expertise in constrained computing environments.

We welcome engineers with experience in developing software for constrained environments using languages such as C/C++ and assembly, a strong grasp of microcontroller platforms (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, STM32, NXP, Renesas), and proficiency in optimising performance for limited-resource systems, including low-level debugging and profiling.

Research Scientists interested in advancing fundamental AI research, focusing on interpretable AI, discrete mathematics, and neural-symbolic techniques.

Please reach out to us if you have a background in advancing fundamental AI research, particularly in areas like interpretable AI, discrete mathematics, neural-symbolic techniques, or topics such as low-bit-depth precision ML techniques, or boolean-based models. Similarly, if you have experience scaling and training very large models (e.g. Generative/SSL/Deep Learning), and experience with tensorised computation frameworks (e.g TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX) for rapid prototyping and implementation of papers, or perhaps you have experience in scaling AI algorithms using lower level software design for efficient algorithm execution (e.g. GPU kernel development via CUDA, Triton or PTX), we’d be keen to connect.

Research Engineers interested in applying ML techniques to novel problems.

We are looking for engineers skilled in applying machine learning techniques to novel challenges. This includes end-to-end AI system development, end-to-end AI system development with tensorised computation frameworks (e.g TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX), but also including data pipelines, model training, and inference optimisation, fast iteration of models for production, and the ability to bridge research insights from fundamental research to practical deployment to customers, supported by strong software engineering practices.

Full Stack Engineers interested in putting AI in the hands of users.

For those with expertise in building user-facing AI solutions, proficiency in front-end frameworks like React/TypeScript, scalable API development (using tools such as FastAPI or GraphQL), and robust cloud and DevOps skills (including experience with platforms like GCP, Kubernetes, Severless Architectures and CI/CD pipelines) is highly valued. We have interest in anyone with a keen eye for aesthetics, who might prefer to focus on the UX and frontend, and also those that prefer to work on backend and infrastructure.
