Literal Labs presenting low-energy, fast, edge AI at CES 2025 in Las Vegas

Fresh from being recognised as an Impact Startup at Web Summit in Lisbon—an accolade reserved for startups poised to make a meaningful societal impact—Literal Labs is set to attend the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January 2025 for a similar reason.

At CES, Literal Labs will compete in the final round of the "Semiconductors & AI Innovation Startup Cup," hosted by the Extreme Tech Challenge. Having advanced through the semi-final stage, we now face off against three formidable competitors: Applied Brain Research, Phanofi, and UncovAI. This event offers Literal Labs a platform to demonstrate our revolutionary approach to edge AI and our capacity to tackle one of the industry's most pressing concerns—AI’s environmental footprint.

Unlike conventional neural network approaches, which are mathematically dense and require significant resources for inference, Literal Labs employs a radically different methodology. Rooted in propositional logic, Tsetlin Machines, and data binarisation, the company’s models deliver staggering efficiency gains. Training on Literal Labs' system achieves models which perform up to 250 times faster than neural network counterparts, while inference consumes as much as 10,000 times less energy. Such efficiency not only enhances performance but also drastically reduces environmental impact, making it a beacon of sustainability in AI.

CES 2025 represents an opportunity for Literal Labs to showcase how its innovative edge AI solutions can drive the future of fast, cost-effective, energy-efficient, and explainable artificial intelligence. With the world increasingly aware of the pros and cons that AI holds, Literal Labs is poised to challenge the status quo.
